Windows 10 Can’t Install Windows Updates
The problem occurs because Windows Update files get corrupted. Removing the corrupted files solves the issue, which can be done easily by following these steps:
- Press Win+R keys to open the Run dialog
- Type “C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download” and press OK
- File Explorer gets open – delete all the files/folders in this directory
- Restart your PC and try running the Windows Update again.

Microsoft Store Can’t Install or Update Apps
Unable to install or update Windows Apps through Microsoft Store. The problem arises due to the excessive cache files that clutter-up your system, causing various issues. This problem could be solved by cleaning those cached files, which can be done following these steps:
- Press Win+R keys to open the Run dialog
- Type “WSReset.exe” and click OK
- A blank, black window will appear that will auto-close after sometime
- Microsoft Store will open thereafter, and if it does not, open Microsoft Store yourself and try installing or updating apps.
